Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in the United States and is a professional actress who has performed professionally for 27 years. She's been a professional actor for over 27 years. In 1990, she made her debut on stage in Off-Broadway production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. The following year, she was chosen for her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she earned her first big break after being cast in the film Basic Instinct as a supporting role. In The Firm, she played the lead female role for the very first time. She was on the screen alongside Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked alongside some of the most renowned actors in the business, including Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
