
Leona Louise Lewis, born on April 3, 1985. She is an actor, singer, and activist from Britain. She was raised in London Borough of Islington and was a student at Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis achieved national recognition after she was crowned the winner of the third season of The X Factor in 2006 and was awarded the PS1 million recording deal together with Syco Music. The winner's single and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's track "A Moment like This," reached 50,000 downloads in 30 minutes . It topped the charts at first place for the duration of about four weeks. In February 2007 Lewis has signed a deal for five albums with the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis kept her momentum going with Spirit, her first studio album. It sold 10x platinum certified in the UK. The album was the fourth-most popular album of the 2000s, and also one of the best-selling UK albums. It is reported by the Official Charts Company claims that Spirit was the best-selling 21st century female debut album. Its first single, "Bleeding Love", had a run of seven weeks at the top of the charts at first in UK and was the most-sold single in 2007. It also was the biggest-selling single in the US the same year. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award subsequent year. Echo is her second studio album. She also wrote the hit song "I Have You in My Eyes" for Avatar. Lewis' song "Collide" is an impromptu collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii and she released Hurt the EP. It was her first play that was extended. Glassheart (2012) is Lewis the release of her 3rd studio album. It's an innovative new musical direction. Lewis draws inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. The Glassheart Tour was in the mid-year of 2013, and she began recording music to record her first Christmas album. The album Christmas, With Love was released in the final quarter of 2013. The album's first single One More Sleep peaked at number 3 across the UK. Lewis was one of the few British female solo artist made history by becoming the first British artist to break the top of the list with eight songs.
